We are looking for an experienced Business Developer, who will be responsible for the strategic and operational Business Development for IC-Design activities. This includes developing new business areas and sales markets while developing the existing ones and acquiring new customers and partners. You will be strongly engaged in promoting SAL’s Brand and will represent SAL at national and international events. You will work closely with Management, other Business Developers, as well as Lead Researchers and Engineers.
- Acquisition of R&D projects for IC-Design, focusing on Sensorics, RF and mm-wave communication, radar applications and similar
- Acquisition of industrial partners (with a special focus on Start-ups and SMEs) and non-industrial partners (academic institutions, research centres) partners for innovative IC-Design project collaborations
- Defining a clear business strategy, leveraging unique SAL’s value proposition to attract customers, expand the customer base and find new markets
- Co-developing and shaping the service offering and the research strategy with both Engineering and Research teams, providing insights into current trends and expected industry developments, identifying opportunities and challenges
- Key-account management for premium partners, developing service quotations for clients and managing and of an efficient and agile customer database
- Liaising with the Marketing / PR and Engineering departments on the creation of marketing campaigns and related material, press releases and social media communication channels
- Representing SAL at events (both internal and external), organising and attending conferences, meetings and industry events
- Completed University education in Economics or Engineering with focus on Business
- 5+ years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Marketing within the IC-Development Industry are required
- Solid technical understanding of IC-Development flow, semiconductors supply chain, and awareness of industry trends and opportunities
- Experience in Communication Strategies and a proven track record in Project Acquisitions and Key Account Management
- Entrepreneurial, strategic mindset with experience in Business Strategy Development and a strong network in the Austrian and European IC-Development ecosystem
- Fluency in German and English, with excellent communication skills

This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for employees in non-university research (Research CA) starting in occupational group E (E1 salary = EUR 3.963, paid 14 times a year) based on 38,5 hours per week. For this position we offer competitive salaries and additional benefits based on your experience and qualifications, starting with a minimum gross salary of EUR 61.000 (annual, based on an All-in contract)
